Lore: Western Continent (Political Map)

WARNING: Long description ahead.

I was not exactly up for drawing anything amazing lately, so I just went back to doing some map making. Note that this is a political geography map, so features like mountains and rivers will not be featured. It just shows who are the major political powers, and where they are located. I'm starting off with the West.

WESTERN CONTINENT
The Western Continent is probably the continent that the known world of Orbia knows the least. Having drifted a longer distance when Orbia's supercontinent disintegrated, the Western Continent had been virtually cut off from the rest of the world, and it was only recently that the continent had been discovered.

Among the powers that dwelled, the largest and most populous will have to be the Hibernians. The Hibernians have been living on the main Hibernian islands for centuries, and it was only recently that they had ventured onto the mainland.

The Kuasari Confederation in the northern part of the continent that made contact recently. They consist of a coalition of six tribes, who all share a common language and culture. The Confederation runs on a matriarchial society, and is one of the few places where females generally have more power.

The southernmost part of the continent is where the Pakari city-states are located. Although they all share the same ethnicity, culture and language, the city-states are very much independent entities, loosely united under the authority of the Priest-Kings in Pakal,

The Guua Tribes are not a "true" political power per se, since the tribes are too loosely fragmented to pose any threat. However, the tribes are known for being excellent jungle fighters, and it was rumored that they may be guarding something. Whatever it may be, we will never know.

The Xilian Alliance is a little tricky to explain. The Xilians were said to have originated further inland, but were either exiled or forcefully evicted. Three separate Xilian political entities emerged, and the Alliance was said to represent all three as a whole, defending each other from possible repercussions from the Aztlans.

The Aztlans are a mystery, as we know very little about them. We do know that they speak the same language as the Xilians, and they have considerable influence and territory in the unexplored parts of the continent. However, the Aztlans are said to be fierce warriors, so bloodshed is expected for any further explorations inland.

Edmundshire and Nuovo Genova are attempts by Northern Continent powers to establish colonies. So far, neither have yet to explore and claim further territory.

You will notice a dotted line that is drawn on the map. This is the designated "frontier line", agreed by all the powers that claim territory. Lands to the left of the line is unexplored territory at the time of print. The land to the right is territory that has been explored, but nobody has laid claim to the lands ... yet.

All the political powers in the continent will get their own lore article in time.
